Louisiana Biomedical Research Network to utilize T-BioInfo platform for State-Wide Training Program 3 weeks ago

The Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LBRN) is a network of 7 primarily undergraduate institutes that prepare students for impactful research. The grant is led by Louisiana State University and Tulane University as Mentor Campuses that provide oversight and training to faculty and students participating in the training. One of the mandates for LBRN is bioinformatics training and support.

After a successful pilot in the summer of 2018, the LBRN leadership decided to make the T-BioInfo based training program available throughout the state with a base training streamed from the LSU Center for Computation and Technology. The program includes 6 basic modules: Introduction to Bioinformatics, Genomics,  Transcriptomics, Epigenomics, Metagenomics, and Machine Learning for Biomedical Data. The modules are delivered online (via edu.t-bio.info) and at in-person workshops at LSU CCT. More information is available at https://edu.t-bio.info/newsletter-lbrn-bioinformatics-program/
